The New Normal

There is no “back to normal.” If we don’t stop hoping for that we’ll go crazy. What we used to consider “normal” is gone. There is only a “new normal” in which we don’t physically interact with anyone outside of our immediate circle of people. Some will not follow the rules of the new normal, and they will be outcasts, not let back into their circle for fear of contamination. We have to let die our vision of what we thought we would become. Submission to the effects and contagious nature of the virus is inevitable and inescapable for the rest of us who still live.
