The art of writing in notebooks is nearly dead. The most use out of them these days is to be a sketchpad or dust collector. I enjoy writing in notebooks still. There is something about the feel of the ink scratching across the paper that is satisfying. Writing in notebooks also brings a certain sense of nostalgia, how writing used to be done, and it rewards you with hand cramps...but it's worth it. I have had many through the years, and have decided that my favorites are definitely the Midori Travelers Notebook and the hard cover originals of the Moleskine brand. This is a photo of my Midori, leather bound, multiple use notebook, and I use it constantly.
